Kallan Dana is a playwright originally from Portland, Oregon. Her plays include Lobster (The Tank/Needy Lover, Best Theater of 2025 in The New Yorker and Vulture/New York Magazine) and RACECAR RACECAR RACECAR (The Hearth/A.R.T. NY). She has developed or presented work with Clubbed Thumb, New Georges, The Hearth, The Tank, Artists Repertory Theatre, The Cell, Portland Theater Festival, Bramble Theatre Company, Dixon Place, Northwestern University, and Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. She is a New Georges affiliated artist and 2025 Audrey Resident, and a recipient of the 2025 National Theatre Conference Paul Green Award. She co-founded the artist collaboration group TAG at the Tank and makes theater with her company Needy Lover. MFA: Northwestern University.

Francesca Sabel is a Brooklyn-based director of new plays. Workshops and productions include Homofermenters (Ars Nova’s ANTFest), This Is What the Days Are (Playwrights’ Realm), Night Watch and Member of the Wedding (Classic Stage), We Are Angels Just Like You and Olives (Clubbed Thumb). Regional work includes Control (Portland Theater Festival) and Screech Owl (Studio Theatre). She has acted as associate or assistant director to Anne Kauffman, Knud Adams, Neil Pepe, and Steve Broadnax, among others. Jared Mongeau (he/him) (Brad) is overjoyed to be returning to help develop the character of Brad after first workshopping Control with the Portland Theater Festival in the summer of 2025. An actor, physical comedian, and musician, he began his career in the circus, performing with the historic Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey. He is an MFA graduate of Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre, which took him to Bali, Indonesia, to study traditional mask carving and performance. His original, award-winning devised work has appeared internationally, including on the main stage of the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival and for the United States Association of Fringe Festivals. As a musician, he has toured through 16 European countries, including headlining on the West End. Some favorite roles include Mister/Ossifer in Pass Over, Peter in Wolf Play, Sciuridae/The Scientist in The Squirrels, Will/Conrad/Tony in Significant Other, and Keiran Riley in The Irish Curse.

Juliana Sass (Aimee) is a Brooklyn based actor. Theater work includes originating the leading role of Shelby in the world premiere of Kimberly Belflower’s John Proctor is the Villain (Studio Theater, Helen Hayes nominated for Outstanding Lead Performer, winner for Best Play & Best Ensemble), Erica Schmidt’s Macbeth, Julius Caesar (Theater for a New Audience), Dry Land (Portland Theater Festival, dir. Amelia Workman (Ashley) is an actress, singer and writer. She’s originated many groundbreaking roles in the American theatre, and helped reimagine several rarely seen theatrical masterpieces with award winning playwrights and Tony winning directors. She has worked with Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins, David Cromer, Kenny Leon, Liesl Tommy, Suzan-Lori Parks, Young Jean Lee, Leslye Headland, Dave Malloy, Annie Kauffman, Neil Pepe, Leigh Silverman, David Adjmi, and Eisa Davis (selected). She’s worked at Second Stage, The Public, Lincoln Center, Soho Rep, Yale Rep, Playwrights Horizons, The Atlantic, Signature Theatre, Ars Nova, Clubbed Thumb, The Goodman, Julliard and Theatre for a New Audience (selected). Her Broadway debut was as Kerry Washington’s understudy in American Son. Amelia was a recurring cast member on American Rust (Amazon) and can be seen in Sundance winner A Thousand and One. Lola Bodé (Stage Directions) is a playwright and performer, born and raised in Southern California. Bodé’a horror-drama, CRAVE; or how to freeze the phantasmagoria, is a current semi-finalist for the 2026 Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights’ Conference. Some of Lola’s favorite performing credits include: Lobster (Northwestern University)  by Kallan Dana and Be Mean to Me (Northwestern University) by Sofya Levitsky-Weitz. Lola is thrilled to be joining the reading of Kallan’s new play, Control, at Working Theater.
